Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all fireworks displays and related services provided by Pyrotechnics NI Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By making any payment, the customer (“you”, “the client”) confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.

1. Booking & Deposit

1.1 A booking is only confirmed once a £500 non-refundable deposit has been received.
1.2 The deposit secures the event date and covers administration, planning, and licensing preparation.
1.3 All bookings are subject to approval of the required Northern Ireland Department of Justice (DoJ) fireworks licence.

2. Final Payment & Licensing

2.1 The remaining balance becomes payable once the DoJ licence has been approved.
2.2 Full payment must be received no later than 14 days before the scheduled display date.
2.3 If full payment is not received by this deadline, the display will be automatically cancelled, and the deposit will be retained.
2.4 Pyrotechnics NI Ltd accepts no liability for delays, conditions, or refusals of a DoJ licence beyond our control.

2A. Seasonal & Premium Date Pricing

2A.1 Certain dates throughout the year are subject to seasonal or premium pricing due to exceptionally high demand, limited availability, increased staffing requirements, enhanced safety planning, and elevated operational risk.

2A.2 Premium dates include, but are not limited to:

  • New Year’s Eve

  • Bonfire Night

  • Halloween

  • Boxing Day

  • Other nationally or locally significant celebration dates

2A.3 Bookings on premium dates may be priced at a higher rate than standard displays (normally 50% higher) , and such pricing is determined solely by Pyrotechnics NI Ltd based on operational requirements, demand, logistics, staffing, safety considerations, and resource availability.

2A.4 For premium date bookings, Pyrotechnics NI Ltd reserves the right to require:

  • Full payment in advance

  • Non-refundable deposits or fees

  • Earlier payment deadlines than those stated in Section 2

2A.5 Once a premium date booking has been confirmed, the agreed price is fixed and non-negotiable and will not be reduced or amended in response to:

  • Subsequent promotions or discounts

  • Alternative or competing quotations obtained by the client

  • Changes in the client’s circumstances

2A.6 New Year’s Eve and Halloween bookings are strictly non-cancellable and non-refundable once confirmed, due to the unique nature of the date and the inability to reallocate resources or secure alternative bookings.

2A.7 By proceeding with a booking on a premium date, the client acknowledges and accepts the application of seasonal pricing and the associated payment and cancellation terms.

5. Site Assessment, Access & Third-Party Venues

5.1 Pyrotechnics NI Ltd will carry out a site risk assessment to determine whether the proposed location is suitable and whether required safety distances can be achieved.

5.2 All displays are subject to the site remaining suitable at the time of the event. Changes to site layout, access, or restrictions may result in cancellation.

5.3 Where the site is owned or managed by a third party (including hotels, wedding venues, estates, or local authorities), the client is responsible for:

  • Obtaining written permission from the site owner or manager.

  • Ensuring safe and unrestricted access for setup, firing, and dismantling.

  • Withdrawal of permission by a third party.

  • Inaccurate or incomplete site information.

  • Changes in site conditions between assessment and the event date.

5.5 If a display is cancelled due to site unsuitability or third-party restrictions beyond our control:

  • The deposit remains non-refundable.

  • Any additional payments may be refunded at our discretion.
